Illuminate Forward builds on the success of Illuminate, and it is a framework guiding Baylor University’s priorities and strategic focus through 2027 as the institution continues to strengthen its Tier 1/Research 1 status and becomes the preeminent Christian research university.
Key commitments of Illuminate Forward include the following.
Baylor is committed to hiring 100 new faculty members (20 per year) by the end of 2027. This includes providing competitive start-up resources, labs, equipment and support for success; and continuing its investments in engineering and computer science.
Baylor is committed to improving its residential campus experience by completing the renovation plan for its residence halls, including Collins Hall in 2022-2023 and Memorial/Alexander Halls in 2023-2024, followed by renovations to Allen-Dawson and Kokernot Halls.
Baylor is committed to improving its Honors College by completing the renovations necessary to create a unified home for the college that includes a new common space.
Baylor is committed to completing on-going athletics department capital projects – among its Give Light campaign priorities – for the men’s and women’s basketball and football programs.
